Council Minutes of 09 -16 -2014 <br />Councilman Kearney stated that some union contractors did bid on the recreation center <br />project. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2014 -57 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Recreation Commissioner to request proposals ( "RFP ") for <br />cleaning services at the Recreation Center and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into <br />a contract for said cleaning services with the vendor selected in the RFP process, subject <br />to approval by the Board of Control. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />2014 -57 adopted 7 -0. <br />Resolution 2014 -59 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget Commission <br />and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the County Fiscal Officer. <br />Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings as this <br />was heard last week in committee and there is a timing issue. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution 2014 -59 adopted 7 -0. <br />Resolution 2014 -60 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for copy <br />machines for use by the City of North Olmsted, as per specifications on file, and <br />authorizing the Mayor, after approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract to <br />lease such business equipment and products. <br />Resolution 2014 -62 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources to request proposals ( "RFP ") <br />for website design services and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for <br />said professional services with the vendor selected in the RFP process, subject to <br />approval by the Board of Control. <br />Ordinance 2014 -65 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2014, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2014 -66 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance dispensing with a formal RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into <br />an agreement with American Healthways Services, LLC, to provide marketing services <br />related to Recreation Center fitness programs for the City of North Olmsted, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2014 -67 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Schumann.
