CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014 — 100 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING OF AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO ENTER INTO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING <br />AGREEMENTS WITH THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE <br />( "FOP ") /OHIO LABOR COUNCIL, FOR THE POLICE <br />OFFICERS AND CORRECTIONS OFFICERS, FOR THE <br />PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2015 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2017, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the collective bargaining agreements negotiated by and between <br />the Administration and the Fraternal Order of Police ( "FOP ") /Ohio Labor Council, for the <br />Police Officers and Corrections Officers, for the period January 1, 2015, through December <br />31, 2017, copies of which are on file in the office of the Director of Human Resources, are <br />hereby approved and the Mayor is authorized to execute the said agreements. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, of <br />this City and for the further reason that this Resolution is required to be immediately effective <br />to implement new protocols / pay standards within the agreement commencing January 1, <br />2015; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two - thirds of all members of <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />PASSED: j` 6 1z._i a7 .� <br />ATTEST: <br />1 <br />MARIE GALLO <br />Clerk of Council <br />APPROVED: `� l <br />MA XOR E VIN UkE'NNED Y <br />First Reading: / a It,°I '1_)i (I <br />`I <br />Second Reading: l s • -"oj <br />Third Reading:, j:Aj-0 iy, cI <br />Committee: <br />NICOLE DAILEY J*�S President of Counci <br />APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM. <br />/s/ Michael R.
