<br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE (1)
<br /> CUSTOM MODIFIED, WESTERN STAR 4700SF COMMERCIAL TRUCK
<br /> CHASSIS FROM VALLEY CLEVELAND FREIGHTLINER, INC. AT A
<br /> COST OF $87,110.00, TOGETHER WITH RELATED SNOW REMOVAL
<br /> EQUIPMENT FOR SUCH TRUCK FROM CONCORD ROAD EQUIPMENT
<br /> MFG., INC. AT A COST OF $81,094.04, BOTH THROUGH THE STATE
<br /> PURCHASE PROGRAM; AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
<br /> TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SUCH
<br /> PURCHASE,AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
<br /> WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety recommends that the City acquire a modified
<br /> chassis Western Star 4700SF Commercial Truck, for use within the Department of Public
<br /> Service from Valley Cleveland Freightliner, Inc. at a cost of $87,110.00, and related snow
<br /> removal equipment (body, dump bucket, salt spreader, hoist, hitch, calcium system, and hook)
<br /> from Concord Road Equipment Mfg. at a cost of$81,094.04, all of which is established on the
<br /> state purchase program; and
<br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to purchase said
<br /> vehicle and equipment, through the State purchase program and to further authorize the Mayor to
<br /> execute any documents required for such expenditure, including a contract with Valley Cleveland
<br /> Freightliner, Inc. and / or Concord Road Equipment, Mfg., Inc.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA,AND STATE OF OHIO:
<br /> SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase through the
<br /> State Purchasing Program, which was established by R.C. Section 125.04, and which the City is
<br /> authorized to participate in pursuant to the City Charter and Resolution No. 87-6, one (1)
<br /> modified chassis Western Star 4700SF Commercial Truck from Valley Cleveland Freightliner,
<br /> Inc. at a cost of $87,110.00, and related snow removal equipment (body, dump bucket, salt
<br /> spreader, hoist, hitch, calcium system, and hook) from Concord Road Equipment Mfg. at a cost
<br /> of $81,094.04. If necessary to effectuate any such purchase through the State Purchasing
<br /> Program, the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any contract and/or other necessary
<br /> documents required by the authorized vendor(s), the State of Ohio, or the Charter. Any contract
<br /> executed by the Mayor shall be in a form and substance consistent with the provisions of this
<br /> Resolution and be approved by the Director of Law.
<br /> SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure
<br /> immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and,
<br /> additionally. it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately in order to have the
