Special Council Minutes of 02-25-2015 <br /> Councilwoman Hemann, Chairwoman of the Intra-Governmental Relations Committee: <br /> The Intra-Governmental Relations Committee met Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 7:15 <br /> p.m. Present were committee members Hemann, Limpert and Kearney; Council <br /> President Jones; Council members Barker, Brossard, Schumann and Williamson; Mayor <br /> Kennedy, Planning/Development Director Wenger, Clerk of Council Gallo and guests. <br /> • The committee met for the purpose of discussing the candidates for the Charter <br /> Review Commission. Discussed was a candidate spreadsheet that will be <br /> distributed to all of Council, that Councilwoman Hemann personally interviewed <br /> all of the candidates and that Councilman Limpert interviewed three of the <br /> candidates. The candidate spreadsheet is attached to the committee report as an <br /> exhibit. The committee further discussed the process for submission of letters of <br /> interest by the candidates and also those submitted by Council on behalf of the <br /> candidate as the process was approved by Council President Jones and the Mayor <br /> prior to its invocation. She reminded Council members to feel free to contact <br /> each candidate to make an informed, independent vote regarding each candidate's <br /> qualifications. The committee meeting was adjourned at 7:41 p.m. <br /> Councilwoman Hemann stated for the record that the committee did not make a <br /> recommendation of candidates to Council. As Chairwoman of the Intra-Governmental <br /> Relations Committee and having interviewed each of the candidates, she recommended <br /> that the following candidates be considered based on their business and personal <br /> qualifications, leadership skills, willingness to serve, a full understanding of the job <br /> requirements and tasks required of them, and the availability and time required of them to <br /> serve on the Charter Review Commission: Michael Gareau, Sr., Timothy Smith, Rachael <br /> Stefancin and John Seelie. <br /> Council President Jones opened the floor for nominations for the Charter Review <br /> Commission: <br /> Councilwoman Hemann nominated Rachael Stefancin <br /> Councilman Barker nominated Michael Gareau, Sr. <br /> Councilman Brossard nominated John Seelie <br /> Councilman Schumann nominated William Brake <br /> Councilman Kearney nominated Timothy Smith <br /> Council President Jones called for a vote on the nominations on the candidates in <br /> alphabetical order: <br /> William Brake <br /> Roll Call: Schumann, yes; Williamson, yes; Limpert, yes; Kearney, yes; Hemann, no; <br /> Brossard, yes; Barker, yes <br /> Michael Gareau, Sr. <br /> Roll Call: Barker, yes; Brossard, yes; Hemann, yes; Kearney, yes; Limpert, no; <br /> Schumann, yes; Williamson, yes <br /> 2 <br />
