Kanareff v. City of Westlake rendered that opinion and my opinion since the 1970's has been
consistent with that opinion, and consistent with the Constitution of the State of Ohio under
Article 18.
There is another important matter that I would like to bring up to Council and the
administration and it has to do with the truthfulness and character of Dennis Lambert.
Issues of Deception and Defamation
On October 21, 2008, Dennis Lambert addressed Council discussing postings on
Cleveland Live website. He spoke of how anonymous postings were made and how he would
never do such a thing. He referred to these people as spineless cowards for not posting their
names or identity. "You'll know I'm on there (website) when I actually post because my name
will be signed to what I say".
Lambert used two on-line aliases "l cu4now" and "boogalu". Icu070@yahoo.com
belonged to an individual claiming to be "Ms. Pablo Mescktus, birthdate December 7, 1971 with
a registration IP address of 4.159.95.76. We traced this to a phone number where numerous
defamatory statements were made about me and my family. The phone number 440-777-8172 is
listed to Dennis Lambert.
Having already established his dishonesty in public (at the October, 2008 City Council
meeting) and on the internet, his numerous false claims on the Cleveland Live North Olmsted
forum deserve scrutiny.
Lambert repeatedly, over a period of years, exhibited not just dislike for, but an
unhealthy, contemptuous, hatred of myself. He has attacked me in public, without provocation
or factual basis. For example, in an internet posting on June 19, 2009, he suggested that the
Federal Government should investigate me claiming "quid quo pro deals" and "deals, contracts
and hiring practices." Demonstrating his ignorance, and his failure to substantiate his claims, he
then claimed "much is hearsay, but where there is smoke there is fire." He then intimated that I
took bribes by suggesting that a "revenue stream" needs to be investigated.
On May 11, 2009, he attacked my firm, claiming, again falsely, that Michael Gareau,
Jr.'s firm "may very well be billing the city for outsourced work." He followed up that claim
with the assertion that "Their law firm will most likely prosper from companies wanting to [sic]
business in North Olmsted." Again demonstrating his ignorance, he claimed "All legal but a
very dangerous position for the citizens who want the best bang for their hard earned buck." In
fact, the conduct which he described, including a public official farming work out to his law
firm, and businesses in effect bribing an elected official to obtain favor with the city, are not
"legal" actions. Head he spent any time looking into the matter and educating himself, he would
have known that he was publicly accusing elected officials of bribery and unlawful interests in
public contracts, both of which are crimes.
On June 13, 2009, he again accused me of illegal and unethical conduct. He wrote:
"When the Feds get tired of staying downtown, I know an office building on Lorain and a City
Hall on Dover that could use their attention. 30 years of deals, bad zoning, and road block for
some while others [sic] have gotten a free pass and let's not forget those contracts for family and
