MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> JUNE 23,2015 <br /> Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, <br /> Kearney, Limpert, Schumann and Williamson <br /> Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Clerk of Council Gallo and <br /> Director of Planning and Development Wenger <br /> Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br /> 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br /> Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance. <br /> REPORTS <br /> Councilman Schumann, Chairman of the Building, Zoning & Development Committee: <br /> The BZD Committee met Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Present were committee <br /> members Schumann, Barker and Williamson; Council President Jones; Council members <br /> Brossard, Hemann, Kearney and Limpert; Mayor Kennedy, Safety/Service Director <br /> Glauner, Human Resources Director Farver, Planning/Development Director Wenger, <br /> Michael McDade of North Olmsted Schools, Architect Jeffery Henderson and guests. <br /> • Discussed first was CMS15-3157 North Olmsted Middle School to temporarily <br /> relocate to the site of the former St. Richard School at 26855 Lorain Road. <br /> Modular units will be added to accommodate more students, which requires a <br /> conditional use permit. As the Planning and Design Commission discussions <br /> centered on parking and traffic patterns, a request was made to approach the <br /> Engineer regarding a possible right turn only onto Country Club Boulevard. The <br /> committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of the conditional use permit and <br /> site plan for CMS15-3157 with inclusion of the Planning Commission <br /> recommendations which are that the conditional use permit will expire allowing <br /> the site to be restored by April 30, 2019, dumpster enclosures should be provided <br /> that will adequately handle trash generated at the site and that amendments to the <br /> Traffic Control File are approved by the City Engineer and City Council. <br /> Councilman Schumann made a motion to recommend approval of CMS15-3157 St. <br /> Richard/North Olmsted Middle School located at 26855 Lorain Road conditional use <br /> permit and site plan pursuant to recommendations set forth by the Planning and Design <br /> Commission. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed <br /> unanimously. CMS15-3157 approved 7-0. <br />
