Council Minutes of 10-06-2015 <br /> they will not use the car alarm/horn to locate inventory unless absolutely necessary. <br /> Brossard said he is inclined to let this play out for a while versus legislating the issue <br /> because of this conversation with Mr. Morris. <br /> LEGISLATION <br /> Resolution 2014-64 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br /> Ordinance amending Section 505.10 of the General Offenses Code of the City of North <br /> Olmsted entitled "Hunting Prohibited" to allow the city to manage the white-tailed deer <br /> population within the City of North Olmsted. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. <br /> The motion was seconded by Councilman Brossard and passed unanimously. Barker <br /> commented that this has been a long time coming, and I'm glad we are finally bringing it <br /> into law. Is it the answer to all of our problems with deer? No. Will there be other <br /> issues coming up in the future? Probably so. I know this will work for awhile. It's not <br /> going to cure our deer population overnight, but it's a step in the process. Councilman <br /> Limpert commented that the one piece in the legislation that I did not see, and I know we <br /> left this a little vague, but I didn't see a time period in the legislation. I know when we <br /> talked with the Department of Natural Resources, they strongly recommended to keep it <br /> during and around the deer season. So, my vote is yes but I am trusting that will be part <br /> of the shooting policy—that we are doing that during culling season. Resolution 2014-64 <br /> adopted 7-0. <br /> Resolution 2015-70 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br /> purchase of 5,000 tons of stone for various Service Department needs throughout the city <br /> as detailed in the specifications on file, further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a <br /> contract with the lowest and best bidder(s) to purchase said stone, after Board of Control <br /> approval. Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br /> Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2015-70 adopted 7-0. <br /> Resolution 2015-71 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br /> purchase of 5,000 tons of asphalt materials for various Service Department needs <br /> throughout the city as detailed in the specifications on file, further authorizing the Mayor <br /> to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder(s)to purchase said materials, after <br /> Board of Control approval. Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion <br /> was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2015-71 <br /> adopted 7-0. <br /> Resolution 2015-72 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for diesel fuel <br /> and gasoline products for use by the City of North Olmsted, as per specifications on file, <br /> and authorizing the Mayor, after approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract <br /> to purchase such products. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was <br /> seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2015-72 adopted <br /> 7-0. <br /> 5 <br />
