MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED OCTOBER 20,2015 Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, Kearney, Limpert, Schumann and Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Assistant Director of Law O'Malley, Director of Finance Copfer, Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety/Service Glauner, Director of Planning and Development Wenger and Director of Human Resources Farver Absent: Director of Law Gareau Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road,North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council meeting minutes of October 6, 2015 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules this evening: First Reading—Resolution 2015-98. Councilman Kearney made a motion to amend the agenda and title of Resolution 2015-93 so that the title reads "as amended" by removing the word "modification". The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Agenda and Resolution 2015-93 amended 7-0. REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • Halloween Trick or Treat will be Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. • The Charter change information is on the city's website, which includes the commonsense language for each issue. • He thanked everyone for the Bicentennial Journey and Arts Show last weekend. Both events were well attended. A special thank you to Ass't Director of Law O'Malley, Director Wenger and several Council people that helped with the event. • The Kiwanis Clam Bake will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at the North Olmsted Party Center. • The Halloween Skate event will take place on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the North Olmsted Recreation Center. • The two armed robbery suspects involved in the Zip Drive Thru Beverage store are in custody. The first male turned himself in, and the second suspect was arrested on October 16, 2015 by the U.S. Marshal Service.
