CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016 — 8 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE A NEW <br />FORD UTILITY INTERCEPTOR TRUCK FROM STATEWIDE FORD AT A <br />COST OF $31,073.00, THROUGH THE STATE PURCHASING PROGRAM, <br />AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL <br />DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SUCH PURCHASE. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service recommends that the City acquire a <br />replacement vehicle (2016 Ford Utility Interceptor Truck) for use within the Department of <br />Public Service from Statewide Ford Lincoln Mercury at a cost of $31,073.00, as established on <br />the State Purchasing Program; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to purchase said <br />vehicle, through the State Purchasing Program and to further authorize the Mayor to execute any <br />documents required for such expenditure, including a contract with Statewide Ford. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase through the <br />State Purchasing Program, which was established by R.C. Section 125.04, and which the City is <br />authorized to participate in pursuant to the City Charter and Resolution No. 87-6, one (1) new <br />2016 Ford Utility Interceptor at a cost of $31,073.00, which is described in the specifications on <br />file in the Service Department. If necessary to effectuate any such purchase through the State <br />Purchasing Program, the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any contract and/or other <br />necessary documents required by the authorized vendor(s), the State of Ohio, or the Charter.
