CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016 —12 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE A NEW <br />FORD F-550 TRUCKAND RELATED EQUIPMENT FROM MIDDLETO WN <br />FORD AT A COST OF $62,899.69, THROUGH THE STATE PURCHASE <br />PROGRAM, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE <br />ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SUCH PURCHASE. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service recommends that the City acquire a <br />replacement vehicle (Ford F-550 with plow package) for use within the Department of Public <br />Service from Middletown Ford at a cost of $62,899.69, as established on the State Purchase <br />Program; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to purchase said <br />vehicle, through the State Purchase Program and to further authorize the Mayor to execute any <br />documents required for such expenditure, including a contract with Middletown Ford. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase through the <br />State Purchasing Program, which was established by R.C. Section 125.04, and which the City is <br />authorized to participate in pursuant to the City Charter and Resolution No. 87-6, one (1) new <br />Ford F-550 with plow package at a cost of $62,899.969, all of which is described in the <br />specifications on file in the Service Department. If necessary to effectuate any such purchase <br />through the State Purchasing Program, the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any contract <br />and/or other necessary documents required by the authorized vendor(s), the State of Ohio, or the <br />Charter. Any contract executed by the Mayor shall be in a form and substance consistent with <br />the provisions of this Resolution and be approved by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor <br />PASSED: &e 4 ( `k) , <br />First Reading. /49 <br />Second Reading:, -.31 / / <br />Third Reading: / ."( <br />Committee: Makl t.' <br />
