<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016 — 25
<br />BY: Council President Jones and the Entire City Council
<br />A RESOL UTION COMMENDING THE ACHIEVEMENT BY
<br />CONNOR JONES
<br />OF THE ARROW OF LIGHT AWARD IN CUB SCOUTING
<br />WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration recognize and reaffirm their dedication to organized
<br />Scouting; and
<br />WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration further recognize that those participating in Scouting,
<br />both the youths and their leaders, are an invaluable asset to the community and the Nation, and that the ideals of
<br />Scouting, the Scout Law and the Scout Pledge are commitments that all citizens should strive for; and
<br />WHEREAS, when one of our young citizens has been committed to Scouting to such an extent that he
<br />earns the Arrow of Light Award, it is truly a noteworthy accomplishment; and
<br />WHEREAS, Connor, son of Daniel and Nicole Jones, brother of Ian, Sarah, Spencer, and Nicholas Jones,
<br />is a member of Cub Scout Pack No. 153 of St. Clarence Church in North Olmsted, Ohio; and
<br />WHEREAS, Connor, as a member of Pack No. 153 since 2012, has achieved the ranks of Bobcat, Wolf,
<br />Bear, Webelos and Arrow of Light; and
<br />WHEREAS, Connor, in achieving his Arrow of Light Award on February 28, 2016 earned eighteen
<br />activity badges: Aquanaut, Artist, Athlete, Citizen, Communicator, Engineer, Family Member, Fitness, Forester,
<br />Geologist, Naturalist, Outdoorsman, Readyman, Scholar, Scientist, Showman, Sportsman, and Traveler; and
<br />WHEREAS, Connor plans to join Boy Scout Troop No. 664 of North Olmsted; and
<br />WHEREAS, the reception of the Arrow of Light Award, Cub Scouting's highest award, by Connor is a
<br />noteworthy accomplishment deserving of the congratulations of the entire community.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH
<br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO:
<br />SECTION 1: That this Council extends its best wishes and heartiest congratulations to Connor Jones on
<br />his achievement of the Arrow of Light Award.
<br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council be, and she is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this
<br />Resolution to Connor Jones.
