NOW THEREFORE, the CITY and ARCHITECT, each acknowledging the sufficiency of the consideration contained in the terms and conditions of the Agreement, agree as follows: SECTION 1. BASIC SERVICES. 1.1 The SERVICES required to be performed by ARCHITECT under this Agreement shall be the basic services for the PROJECT. 1.2 The scope and details of such basic services are described in Exhibit I and Exhibit IV, Scope of Services, attached hereto and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. ADDITIONAL SERVICES. 2.1 No additional services are expected to be required by ARCHITECT for the PROJECT. However, should the providing of any additional services become necessary, any such additional required services will be separate from the Section 1 - Basic Services, and will be considered an Optional Service that may be undertaken only upon written authorization by the CITY. SECTION 3. CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES. 3.1 The CITY shall do the following in a timely manner: (a) Designate a CITY representative having the authority to give to ARCHITECT instructions, receive information, define the CITY'S policies and make decisions with respect to the PROJECT. (b) Provide all criteria and information needed by ARCHITECT regarding the CITY'S requirements for the PROJECT, including design objectives and constraints, space and capacity requirements and budgetary limitations. (c) Furnish to ARCHITECT, as needed, copies of all design and construction standards, which the CITY requires for the PROJECT. (d) Provide to ARCHITECT all available data and information in the possession of the CITY, as requested by ARCHITECT, relevant to the design and construction of the PROJECT.
