Council Minutes of 03-16-2016 <br /> Ordinance 2015-106 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br /> Ordinance amending Article IV, §9 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted entitled, <br /> "Rules and Journal of Council" to eliminate references to "Minority Parties" pursuant to <br /> the nonsubstantive Charter language amendment provisions of Article XVI, §2 of the <br /> Charter of the City of North Olmsted. <br /> Ordinance 2016-15 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br /> Ordinance amending various sections of Chapter 911, "Sewers Generally" and Chapter <br /> 917 "Industrial Pretreatment" of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted <br /> titled, "Streets, Utilities and Public Services Code" in order to conform to the <br /> requirements of the Environmental Protection Agency, and declaring an emergency. <br /> Resolution 2016-16 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase a new Ford F-350 Truck and related <br /> equipment from Middletown Ford at a cost of $40,925.90, through the State Purchase <br /> Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to <br /> effectuate such purchase. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule <br /> requiring three readings as this was discussed in Finance Committee. The motion was <br /> seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved <br /> for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. <br /> Resolution 2016-16 adopted 7-0. <br /> Resolution 2016-17 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br /> purchase of bulk treated rock salt for ice and snow removal operations as detailed in <br /> specifications on file and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the <br /> lowest and best bidder, after Board of Control approval. <br /> Ordinance 2016-18 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br /> Ordinance repealing Chapter 765 entitled "Retail Business Regulations" and establishing <br /> Chapter 733 of the Business Regulation Code entitled "Tent Sales & Special Events" to <br /> provide regulations for such events in the City of North Olmsted. <br /> Ordinance 2016-20 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br /> Ordinance dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into an <br /> agreement with John Patrick Picard Architect, Inc., to provide architectural services for <br /> the Springvale Ballroom and Golf Course Phase I Renovations Project, and declaring an <br /> emergency. <br /> Ordinance 2016-26 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council President <br /> Jones on behalf of Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending the rates of compensation <br /> for various administrative and legislative personnel for 2016 to create the positions of <br /> Maintenance in the Division of Aging, and Administrative Secretary in the Divisions of <br /> Finance, Law, Human Resources and Safety; to amend the Police Secretary salary range; <br /> to amend the title of Administrative Assistant in the Division of Planning; to increase the <br /> boot allowance in Section 16; and to compensate for commercial driver licenses via new <br /> Section 17 all retroactive to January 1, 2016; and to otherwise restate the compensation <br /> 7 <br />
