CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016 — 29 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE A NEW <br />FORD UTILITY INTERCEPTOR FROM STATEWIDE FORD LINCOLN <br />MERCURY AT A COST OF $25,495.00, THROUGH THE STATE <br />PURCHASING PROGRAM, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SUCH <br />PURCHASE. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service recommends that the City acquire a <br />replacement vehicle (2016 Ford Utility Interceptor) for use within the Department of Public <br />Service from Statewide Ford Lincoln Mercury at a cost not to exceed $25,495.00, as established <br />on the State Purchasing Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the new vehicle shall replace a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria with over <br />150,000 miles on it currently in use at the Waste Water Treatment Plant; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to purchase said <br />vehicle, through the State Purchasing Program and to further authorize the Mayor to execute any <br />documents required for such expenditure, including a contract with Statewide Ford Lincoln <br />Mercury. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase through the <br />State Purchasing Program from Statewide Ford Lincoln Mercury, which was established by R.C. <br />Section 125.04, and which the City is authorized to participate in pursuant to the City Charter <br />and Resolution No. 87-6, one (1) new 2016 Ford Utility Interceptor at a cost not to exceed <br />$25,495.00, which is described in the specifications on file in the Service Department. If <br />necessary to effectuate any such purchase through the State Purchasing Program, the Mayor is <br />hereby authorized to execute any contract and/or other necessary documents required by the <br />authorized vendor(s), the State of Ohio, or the Charter. Any contract executed by the Mayor <br />shall be in a form and substance consistent with the provisions of this Resolution and be <br />approved by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor <br />PASSED: C v First Reading: V/0 An <br />Second Reading: Id --P <br />
