CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016 — 62 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION MAKING APPROPRIATION AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE <br />AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO REPLACE THE ROOF OF BUILDING NO. <br />14 AT THE WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT, AS DETAILED IN THE <br />SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE WITH THE ENGINEER, AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD <br />OF CONTROL, TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST <br />AND BEST BIDDER. <br />WHEREAS, as a result of its age and due to existing leaks, a portion of the roof of <br />Building #14, which is also described as the 1St floor roof of the Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />(WWTP) laboratory building, is recommended for replacement; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service recommends that the roof of building #14 be <br />replaced and that the scope of work include the flashing between building #15; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for the award of a contract to replace the roof of building #14 at the WWTP, as <br />set forth in specifications on file with the City Engineer, and to further authorize the Mayor, <br />following approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best <br />bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to advertise for <br />bids for a contract to replace the roof of the existing structure known as Building #14 at the <br />WWTP, in accordance with the plans and specifications on file; and further that, upon approval <br />by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into such a contract and <br />execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That to provide for the construction undertaking as described herein, the <br />following sums be and they are hereby set aside and appropriated as follows: $100,000 from the <br />Sewer Revenue Fund. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
