CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016 — 95 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PLANNING <br />AND DEVELOPMENT TO NEGOTIATE THE SALE OF CITY <br />OWNED REAL PROPERTY IDENTIFIED AS PPN 234-12-052, <br />VACANT LAND LOCATED AT 6652 CHARLES ROAD, AND <br />SUBJECT TO REVIEW AND APPROVAL BY THE DIRECTOR OF <br />LA W, A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH A PURCHASER, AND FURTHER REQUIRING <br />THA T THE NET PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE SHALL BE <br />DIRECTED INTO THE BUILDING AND LAND ACQUISITION AND <br />IMPROVEMENT FUND. <br />WHEREAS, the City owns a vacant residential lot 15,600 square feet in size on <br />Charles Road. The house formerly located on the property was demolished by the city in 2011 <br />to eliminate blight. The property was acquired through the city's land reutilization program; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the administration finds that there are no public uses for the property, and <br />that the City expends resources maintaining the property, and recommends that it be sold; and <br />WHEREAS, revenues from sale shall be directed into the Building and Land <br />Acquisition and Improvement Fund; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of <br />Planning and Development to negotiate the sale of City property and to further authorize the <br />Mayor to enter into a purchase agreement upon successful negotiation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Planning and Development is hereby authorized to <br />negotiate the sale of property known as PPN 234-12-052 (vacant land located at 6652 Charles <br />Road) and subject to review and approval by the Director of Law, further authorizes the <br />Mayor to enter into an agreement with a purchaser. <br />SECTION 2: The net proceeds from the sale shall be directed into the Building and <br />Land Acquisition and Improvement Fund. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest date provided for by law. <br />
