CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017 - 3 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO <br />PROVIDE ASPHALT RESURFACING AND RELATED REPAIRS UPON <br />CITY STREETS, AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE <br />WITH THE ENGINEER, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING <br />APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO CONTRACT FOR THE <br />SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. <br />WHEREAS, the City is in need of asphalt repair services for various streets within the <br />City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, the City will utilize such asphalt repair and resurfacing services to further <br />complete roadway rehabilitation as detailed in the annually updated comprehensive street repair <br />list; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for the award of a contract to undertake asphalt resurfacing and related repairs <br />on various City streets, as set forth in specifications on file with the City Engineer, and to further <br />authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the <br />lowest and best bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to advertise for <br />bids for a contract for asphalt resurfacing and related street, sewer and/or curbing repairs upon <br />City streets, in accordance with the plans and specifications on file; and further that, upon <br />approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into such a <br />contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best <br />bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: &- hct,e,u -711Zn l 7 <br />First Reading: 3 J <br />Second Reading: )-j-7-1-7 <br />Third Reading: Z -i- 0 <br />Committee: A -,,k ,,2 <br />
