CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2017 - 6 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ESTABLISHING CHAPTER 167.99 <br />OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, ENTITLED "COMPOSITION AND <br />ORGANIZATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES" IN <br />ORDER TO IMPLEMENT ORGANIZATION CHANGES WITHIN THE <br />DEPARTMENT, AND DECLARING AN EMEGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council via Ordinance 2010-64 established the organization of the <br />Department of Human Resources, including Organizational Charts, for the purpose of organizing <br />and / or stating the employee complement within the Department of Human Resources; and <br />WHEREAS, the organization was further amended via Ordinance 2011-41 and 2016-33; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Mayor Kennedy, with the advice of Director Gallo, desires to implement <br />further organizational changes within the Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources desires to modify the Organization only <br />to reallocate supervisory authority within the Department such that (1) the Secretary / Civil <br />Service Secretary; (2) the (PT) Clerical Help; and (3) the Receptionist are all directly answerable <br />to the Director of Human Resources as reflected in the Organizational Chart; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to implement the organizational change <br />recommended by Mayor Kennedy and Director of Human Resources Gallo as set forth herein. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Chapter 167.99 which presently reads in its entirety as set forth in <br />Exhibit A, which is attached to this Ordinance and incorporated by reference as if fully rewritten <br />herein, shall be amended and, as amended, shall read in its entirety as set forth in Exhibit B, <br />which is likewise attached to this Ordinance and likewise incorporated by reference as if fully <br />rewritten herein. <br />SECTION 2: That any ordinance, or part of ordinance, in conflict or inconsistent with <br />this Ordinance, is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed. Conflicting or <br />inconsistent provisions of any Ordinance shall be corrected at re -codification. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Ordinance go into effect immediately in order to <br />
