CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2017 - 21 By: Mayor Kennedy A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO PURCHASE A NEW SIERRA GMC TRUCK AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED 527,000.00 FOR USE AT THE WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SUCH PURCHASE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service recommends that the City acquire a Sierra GMC truck for use within the Department of Public Service / Division of Waste Water at a cost not to exceed $27,000.00; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to purchase said vehicle, and to further authorize the Mayor to execute any documents required for such expenditure. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Safety Service Director be and he is hereby authorized to purchase, one (1) new Sierra GMC truck at a cost not to exceed $27,000.00, which is described in the specifications on file in the Service Department. If necessary to effectuate any such purchase, the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any contract and/or other necessary documents required by the authorized vendor(s), the State of Ohio, or the Charter. Any contract executed by the Mayor shall be in a form and substance consistent with the provisions of this Resolution and be approved by the Director of Law. SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
