CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2017 - 9 BY: Mayor Kennedy AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 953 ENTITLED, "RECREATION CENTER COMPLEX" IN ORDER TO UPDATE THE PETTY CASH ALLOCATION FOR THE RECREATION CENTER AND TO ELIMINATE THE OBSOLETE CONCESSIONS DIVISION. WHEREAS, this Council, among other things, adopted a petty cash sum for the Recreation Center in 1975 (75-101; 75-241), and adjusted the same in 1994 (94-43) and 2001 (2001-97); and WHEREAS, since 1975, when this Council adjusted the petty cash allocation for the Recreation Center Complex, it did so via Ordinance as opposed to amending the original Codified Ordinance Chapter 953; and WHEREAS, prior Council action specifically allocated exact petty cash dollar amounts to very specific uses (e.g. ticket booth, pro -shop, concession, etc.); and WHEREAS, the administration and Commissioner Drenski have requested that in lieu of specific allocations of $1,450.00, the Council instead provide a lump sum petty cash authorization to be utilized by the Recreation Center in its discretion in the aggregate amount of $1,450.00; and WHEREAS, Codified Ordinance Chapter 953.01 entitled, "Concessions Division" is now obsolete, since it relates back to a time when the City of North Olmsted operated a concession stand at the Recreation Center Complex; and WHEREAS, the City for years has outsourced concessions to third party vendors; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to adjust the petty cash allocation and further to eliminate the concessions division within Chapter 953. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That Section 953.01 entitled, "Concessions Division" of Chapter 953 entitled "Recreation Center Complex" is hereby repealed in its entirety. SECTION 2: That Ordinances 94-43 and 2001-97 are hereby repealed in their entirety. SECTION 3: That Section 953.02 entitled, "Petty Cash Fund" of Chapter 953 entitled "Recreation Center Complex" which presently reads as follows:
