CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2017 - 29 By: Mayor Kennedy A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE SERVICE OF LEAF COLLECTION AS PER THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE AND, FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER, AFTER BOARD OF CONTROL APPROVAL. WHEREAS, the Department of Public Service has advised this Council that it is necessary to advertise for bids for leaf collection, to fulfill needs throughout the City; and WHEREAS, the Service Department has prepared and filed for inspection all necessary bid specifications for said leaf collection requirements contract; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for leaf collection needs throughout the City, as required, and to further authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder to purchase said leaf collection, after Board of Control approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for leaf collection needs throughout the City in accordance with the bid specifications now on file, and further, that upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest date provided for by law.
