Council Minutes of 8-1-2017 <br />Resolution 2017-49 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a renewed agreement with Cuyahoga <br />County Juvenile Court in connection with the Community Diversion Program to address <br />juvenile misdemeanor and status offenders in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance 2017-50 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2017, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2017-51 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending the rates of compensation for various administrative and legislative <br />personnel for 2017 to adjust the salary range for the Network Administrator (Section 5B) <br />for clarity; and to otherwise restate the compensation rates and descriptions for various <br />administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2015, 2016 and 2017, and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />Resolution 2017-52 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Finance to solicit statements of qualifications <br />("SOQs") from qualified individuals or firms to provide professional services related to <br />employee retirement investment options in addition to those offered by the State of Ohio <br />Deferred Compensation Program; and further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval <br />of the Board of Control, to enter into a personal services contract with the individual or <br />firm selected, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2017-53 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance accepting a deed from Warren P. Geiger and/or his successors in interest, <br />donating land to the City of North Olmsted. <br />Resolution 2017-54 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution approving the award of a job retention grant to Moen and further authorizing <br />the Mayor to enter into a Grant Agreement, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2017-55 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilmembers <br />Schumann and Rahm. An Ordinance amending Section 375.03 of the Traffic Code <br />entitled "Snowmobiles, Off -Highway Motorcycles and All Purpose Vehicles; Code <br />Application; Prohibited Operation" in order to increase nuisance regulations, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Council President Jones announced there will be a be a Public Hearing on Tuesday, <br />August 8, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2017-46. <br />Councilman Schumann scheduled a Building, Zoning & Development Committee <br />meeting on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 7:15 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2017-46. <br />5 <br />
