CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2018 — 24 BY: Mayor Kennedy A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AD VER TISE FOR BIDS FOR THE TRANSPORTATION AND DISPOSAL OF BIO -SOLIDS FROM THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT AND, FOLLOWING THE APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF CONTROL, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. WHEREAS, specifications have been prepared and are on file with the Director of Public Service to solicit bids for the transportation and disposal of bio -solids from the North Olmsted Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to an Ohio EPA approved site; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize bids in accordance with said specifications on file, and to further authorize the Mayor, upon approval of the Board of Control, to enter into an agreement with the lowest and best bidder; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the transportation and disposal of bio -solids from the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), in accordance with the plans and specifications now on file, and further that, upon the award of contract with the lowest and best bidder and approval by the Board of Control, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
