CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - 36 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN <br />RESOURCES TO SOLICIT PROPOSALS FOR THE PERSONAL <br />SERVICES OF A BROKER / CONSULTANT TO ASSIST THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED IN THE ASSESSMENT AND SELECTION <br />OF HEALTH CARE AND RELATED BENEFITS, AND FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF THE <br />BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR <br />SERVICES. <br />WHEREAS, the specifications for Requests for Proposals for a personal services <br />contract with a Broker / Consultant concerning the City's Health Care Benefits, are on <br />file in the Office of the Director of Human Resources; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Human <br />Resources to solicit proposals for said personal services contract, and to further authorize <br />the Mayor, upon approval of the Board of Control, to enter into an agreement to provide <br />professional services including, but not limited to, the assessment and selection of health <br />care and related benefits, with the most qualified firm to perform the services at a price <br />that is fair and reasonable to the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OFNORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Human Resources be and she is hereby <br />authorized to solicit or request proposals for a personal services contract between the City <br />of North Olmsted and a qualified firm to provide professional services including, but not <br />limited to, advice in the assessment and selection of health care and related benefits, in <br />accordance with the specifications now on file in her office and that, upon approval by <br />the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement for said <br />services with the individual or firm most qualified to perform the services at a price that <br />is fair and reasonable to the City. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after <br />the earliest date provided for by law. <br />PASSED: Hpl_ ��, <br />First Reading: 3- 2e -1 q <br />Second Reading: y- 3-- 1 <br />Third Reading: <br />Committee: <br />
