Council Minutes of 6-5-2018 I will close this noting that with two members of Council missing, I don't expect the Council to adopt such a significant change. Should this motion fail, I will offer it again when Council is at full attendance, but I will not reread this lengthy amendment to the chagrin of all I am certain. With that said, this concludes the amendment and I ask for a second. The motion failed for lack of a second. Ordinance 2018-62 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with John Patrick Picard Architect, Inc. for the purpose of providing architectural services for the Springvale Ballroom roof and HVAC project, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2018-63 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution ratifying and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement for shared services/materials with the City of North Ridgeville and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2018-64 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance renaming and amending Section 333.11 of the Traffic Code currently entitled "Texting While Driving Prohibited" so as to further prohibit internet usage while driving and additionally making a violation of Section 333.11 a primary offense. Resolution 2018-65 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to accept a donation of $15,000.00 from the North Olmsted Foundation to assist in the acquisition of a K9 Unit and related equipment for the Division of Police, and declaring an emergency. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Councilman Kearney scheduled a Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee meeting for Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2018-55 and Ordinance 2018-62. The Mayor or his designee is asked to attend. Councilman Kearney scheduled a Streets & Transportation meeting for Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 7:20 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2018-57. The Director of Safety & Service is asked to attend. Councilman Brossard scheduled a Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee meeting for Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 7:25 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2018-56, Ordinance 2018- 64 and Resolution 2018-65. The Director of Planning and Development and Director of Safety & Service are asked to attend. Councilman Schumann scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 7:50 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2018-58, Ordinance 2018-59, Resolution 2018- 60 and Resolution 2018-61. The Director of Finance and Director of Human Resources are asked to attend.
