CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - 84 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING OF AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF <br />POLICE/OHIO LABOR COUNCIL FOR THE BLUE AND GOLD <br />UNITS AND WITH THE CORRECTIONS OFFICERS, FOR THE <br />PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2018 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2020, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the collective bargaining agreements negotiated by and between <br />the City of North Olmsted and the Fraternal Order of Police/Ohio Labor Council with the <br />Blue and Gold Units and with the Corrections Officers, for the period January 1, 2018, <br />through December 31, 2020, copies of which are on file in the office of the Director of Human <br />Resources, are hereby approved and the Mayor is authorized to execute the said agreements. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, of <br />this City and for the further reason that this Resolution is required to be immediately effective <br />to fully implement new protocols / pay standards within the agreement; and further provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED:M <br />ATTESTASMA <br />CHARA OLOH <br />Clerk of Council <br />APPROVED: q - <br />EV1N M.
