CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - 87 BY: Mayor Kennedy A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH POLE BARNS DIRECT FOR THE MATERIAL AND LABOR TO CONSTR UCT A COLD STORAGE BUILDING FOR USE BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Service Department is in need of additional storage for equipment and material; and WHEREAS, Pole Barns Direct has submitted a bid proposal to construct a 40'x30'x12' cold storage building at a total cost of $25,503.60; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Pole Barns Direct for the construction of a Service Department cold storage building. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into an agreement with Pole Barns Direct for the construction of a 40'x30'xl2' cold storage building, in the form of Exhibit A attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit A, with only such changes to be hereinafter made as are not substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the Agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the Agreement by the Director of Law. SECTION 2: This Resolution is declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety and for further reason that it is immediately necessary in order to book the project for completion in 2018; and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of the Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
