CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - 87 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT WITH POLE BARNS DIRECT FOR THE MATERIAL <br />AND LABOR TO CONSTR UCT A COLD STORAGE BUILDING FOR <br />USE BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Service Department is in need of additional storage for <br />equipment and material; and <br />WHEREAS, Pole Barns Direct has submitted a bid proposal to construct a <br />40'x30'x12' cold storage building at a total cost of $25,503.60; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into <br />an agreement with Pole Barns Direct for the construction of a Service Department cold <br />storage building. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into an <br />agreement with Pole Barns Direct for the construction of a 40'x30'xl2' cold storage <br />building, in the form of Exhibit A attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit A, with only such <br />changes to be hereinafter made as are not substantially adverse to the City and which are <br />approved by the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not being <br />substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the <br />Agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the Agreement by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: This Resolution is declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety and for <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary in order to book the project for completion <br />in 2018; and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of the <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />
