Public Hearing of 09-04-2018 <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Margaret Graham <br />28030 Southern Avenue <br />Ms. Graham said she is here to support Ordinance 2018-77. She said it would be a great <br />thing for the City to allow the little free libraries as it will promote literacy, community <br />engagement and get people out of their homes and meet one another. She said it could <br />make the neighborhoods safer as you might be able to put names to faces. She thanked <br />Council for their consideration of the legislation, but especially Councilmembers <br />Schumann and Williamson for introducing the legislation. <br />Councilman Schumann thanked Ms. Graham for bringing it to his attention. <br />Penny Simoncic <br />28004 Southern Avenue <br />Ms. Simoncic said she thought Margaret's idea to have this book exchange box would be <br />a nice addition to the street and neighborhood.
