CONSULTING ENGINEER shall provide the Director of Planning and Development with a <br />status report, in writing, of all work and projects then in process. A copy of such report shall also <br />be provided to the Mayor, and the Directors of Finance, Law and Safety/Service. <br />SECTION 6. AUTOCAD <br />6.1 All sewers, water, sidewalks, and paving plans and plats shall be finalized by the <br />Engineer in electronic format (AutoCAD) and shall be retained as hereinbefore provided, as a <br />record of the CITY, with the CITY having all property and proprietary rights in such documents. <br />SECTION 7 TERM OF APPOINTMENT AND AGREEMENT; AUTHORITY OF DIRECTOR <br />OVER ENGINEERING DIVISION. <br />7.1 The term of the Agreement shall be for three years effective on the date the <br />Agreement is signed by the CITY and the CONSULTING ENGINEER. <br />7.2 The parties recognize, acknowledge and agree that, under Chapter 179 of the North <br />Olmsted Codified Ordinances, the Director of Planning and Development is the head of the <br />Division of Engineering. Therefore, the Director of Planning and Development shall be consulted <br />with and shall have the authority to approve or disapprove all employees, contractors, <br />representatives and other agents of the CONSULTING ENGINEER, including, but not limited to, <br />inspectors, who, pursuant to the direction of CONSULTING ENGINEER, provide any Additional <br />Services to CITY pursuant to Section 2 of this Agreement. <br />7.3 City Engineer and Assistant City Engineer shall serve at the pleasure of the Director <br />of Planning and Development. If the Director of Planning and Development is unsatisfied with <br />the quality of the services provided by the City Engineer or the Assistant City Engineer, and <br />desires to remove either of them from their contract positions, he may do so by requesting the <br />CONSULTING ENGINEER to provide him with a suitable replacement or replacements. In no <br />event shall the term of the City Engineer, the Assistant City Engineer, or any replacement of either <br />of them, extend past the term of this Agreement, unless the term is expressly extended in a writing <br />authorized by CITY Council. <br />7.4 It is further agreed that the City Engineer, the Assistant City Engineer, and <br />CONSULTING ENGINEER, at the direction and with the authorization of the Director of <br />Planning and Development, shall be permitted to conclude engineering services after the term of <br />
