Planning and Development, in his sole discretion, shall determine when <br />attendance at other meetings is needed. <br />(e) In providing the basic services set forth in paragraphs (a) through (c) <br />above, City Engineer and Assistant City Engineer shall be available and <br />accessible to the Director of Planning and Development and to such other officials <br />as are authorized by the Director of Planning and Development a minimum of <br />four (4) days per week for four (4) hours on each day. City Engineer and/or <br />Assistant City Engineer may, but are not required, to be present at City Hall on <br />these days, but shall insure that they are nonetheless at all times designated by the <br />Director of Planning and Development available and accessible to the Director of <br />Planning and Development. The Director of Planning and Development, in his <br />discretion, may from time to time adjust the above described weekly schedule of <br />the City Engineer and/or Assistant City Engineer by increasing or decreasing the <br />number of hours required in a particular week in accordance with work flows in <br />the Department. City Engineer and/or Assistant City Engineer shall work such <br />adjusted schedule so long as (1) it does not interfere with previously assigned <br />projects from CONSULTING ENGINEER, and (2) the average number of hours <br />worked per week over an extended period of time does not exceed the weekly <br />hours provided for in the regular schedule set forth above. In providing the basic <br />services set forth in paragraph (d) above, City Engineer and Assistant City <br />Engineer shall be available to attend all such evening meetings as directed and/or <br />authorized by the Director of Planning and Development. When the City <br />Engineer and Assistant City Engineer are temporarily unavailable on such days or <br />evenings to provide such basic services due to illness, vacation or similar events, <br />they may designate a qualified engineer in the CONSULTING ENGINEER's firm <br />to temporarily provide such basic services. <br />Other than the retaining fee and PERS contribution stated above, CITY ENGINEER and <br />ASSISTANT CITY ENGINEER shall not receive any other wages or benefits from the CITY <br />pursuant to this Agreement. <br />1.3 In performing such basic services, CONSULTING ENGINEER shall provide the <br />City Engineer and Assistant City Engineer, at no additional cost to the CITY, with all support <br />
