CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2018 - 102 <br />BY: Councilman Schumann <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL <br />FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO REMOVE <br />LEFT TURN RESTRICTIONS ONTO BUTTERNUT RIDGE <br />ROAD AT REVERE DRIVE IN THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS <br />AMENDED . <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance 94-66 added a No Left Turn sign at Revere & Butternut for the <br />hours of 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. weekdays; and <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance 94-108 revised the No Left Turn restriction to be between 7:30 <br />a.m. to 8:00 a.m. school days, except buses; and <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance 2013-97 revised the No Left Turn restriction to be between 7:00 <br />a.m. to 8:00 a.m., school days, except buses; and <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance 2015-111 revised the No Left Turn restriction to be between <br />7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., school days, except buses; and <br />WHEREAS, a Traffic Impact and Improvement Analysis was prepared in 2015 by DGL <br />Consulting Engineers as part of the high school construction project, which included the <br />intersection of Revere & Butternut, stating that while traffic on Revere is expected to decline as a <br />result of the project, traffic on Butternut is expected to increase as a result of the project as well <br />as through 2038, thereby continuing to affect traffic on Revere. The report recommends <br />continuing a No Left Turn restriction; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Safety to remove a "No <br />Turn" sign on Revere Drive at Butternut Ridge Road and, necessarily, to amend the Traffic <br />Control File accordingly; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Safety to add a Do Not <br />Block Intersection sign for traffic heading eastbound on Butternut Ridge Road at Revere Drive; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the Traffic <br />Control File, which files can be amended only by ordinance duly adopted by this Council. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND THE STATE OF OHIO: <br />
