CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - 119 By: Mayor Kennedy A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OFA CONTRACT TO PROVIDE DESIGN BUILD CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR NEW PLAYGROUND FACILITIES AT NORTH OLMSTED PARK, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. WHEREAS, pursuant to funding authorized by Council, detailed design specifications are on file in the Division of Parks and Recreation and have been prepared to support competitive bidding of a design build contract for playground facilities at North Olmsted Park; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide design build construction and renovation services for new playground facilities at the North Olmsted Park, as set forth in the said specifications, and to further authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide design build construction and renovation services for new playground facilities at the North Olmsted Park, as detailed in the specifications now on file in the Division of Parks and Recreation, and that further, the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control is hereby authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City with the lowest and best bidder. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest date provided for by law.
