<br />ARTICLE 15 <br />OTHER CONDITIONS OR SERVICES <br />15..1 When there are any change orders requested by the owner which <br />result in the requirement of hiring the services,of additional <br />consultants, including structural, mechanical and electrical <br />engineering services, the owner shall pay the costs of said <br />consultants services. <br />15.2 In the event the Architect is required to prepare additional <br />drawings and/or specifications resulting from a requested <br />charMe order by the owner, and estimated expenses thereof <br />exceeds Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), then the Architect <br />shall receive from the owner in writing, authorization to <br />proceed on said drawings or specifications. <br />15.3 In the event there are any change orders requested by the <br />Architect or the contractor, and estimated costs of said <br />change order is in excess of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00), <br />the Architect will receive prior written approval from the <br />owner before any such authorization is given to the contractor. <br />15.4 With respect to the prior written consents as specified above, <br />the consent shall be in a form identifying the change order <br />and signed by the Mayor and any one of the following <br />individuals: The Service Director, the Building Commissioner, <br />or the City Engineer. <br />15.5 Payments due the Architect by virtue of the monthly billing <br />specified in Item 14.2.1 of this Agreement, shall be paid <br />within thirty (30) days of billing and if the owner fails to <br />make such payment within that period of time, then the <br />Architect may bill the owner in addition to the outstanding <br />amount the sum of Twelve Percent (lZa) per annum on the out- <br />standing balance. <br />AIA DOCUMENT 8141 • OWNER-ARCHITECT AGREEMENT • THIRTEENTH EDITION • JULY 1977 • AIAS • OO 1977 <br />THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS, 1735 NEW YORK AVENUE, N.W., WASHINGTON, D.C. 20006 8141.1977 11
