CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 82-144 <br />BY: JAMES LOGAN <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL MAP AND <br />FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING FOR <br />THE PROHIBITION OF LEFT HAND TURNS BETWEEN 4:00 P.M. <br />AND 6:00 P.M. FOR ALL VEHICULAR TRAFFIC TRAVELING IN <br />A NORTHERLY DIRECTION ON CLAGUE ROAD MAKING LEFT HAND <br />TURNS ON LORAIN ROAD. <br />WHEREAS, this Council recognizes that the intersection <br />of Lorain Road and Clague Road constitutes a traffic bottleneck <br />between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. due to the traffic <br />coming off of I-480, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council further recognizes that a part of <br />the problem is due to the making of left hand turns from Clague <br />Road onto Lorain Road during the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M., <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to amend the <br />Traffic Control Map and File of the City to prohibit left hand <br />turns between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M., Monday through <br />Friday, and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the <br />maintenance of a Traffic Control Map and File., which said Map and <br />File can be amended only by ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l. That the Police Department be and the same is <br />hereby aut orize? and directed to amend the Traffic Control Map <br />and File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon "No <br />Left Hand Turn between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M., <br />Monday through Friday", for vehicular traffic traveling in a <br />northerly direction at the intersection of Lorain Road and Clague <br />Road, thereby prohibiting left hand turns during said period of <br />time. <br />SECTION 2. That the Mayor be and he is hereby directed to <br />have sai "No Le?t Hand Turn" signs as aforesaid installed in <br />accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3.
