CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED In b? <br />7 <br />ORDINANCE NO 82-132 <br />/ <br />' <br />BY: f <br />AfJ ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE CONSULTING FIRM OF JOHN DAVID JONES AND ASSOCIATES TO <br />ADD SERVICE CONNECTIONS OF UNDERGROUND UTILITIES TO TfiE NORTH <br />OLPISTED SECTION OF THE DOVER CEPJTER ROAD PLANS IN ACCORDANCE <br />4JITH HOUSE BILL 538 APdD DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />and WHEREAS, Governor Rhodes has recently signed into law House Bill 538; <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has received on September 2, 1982 <br />a copy of an IOC from the Ohio Department of Transportation revising the <br />guidelines required for plans to be sold after October 29, 1982; and <br />WNEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has been the leader in getting <br />the improvement of Uover Center Road programmed by the County Engineer, The <br />Ohio Department of Transportation and NOACA; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted 'nas hired the consulting firm <br />of John Uavid Jones and Associates on March 25, 1980 and the City of Westlake <br />hired the same firm on May 30, 1980 to prepare the necessary plans, specifi- <br />cations and estimates of cost for the improvement of Dover Center Road; and <br />VJHEREAS, the improvement plans for pover Center Road are ready for <br />filing exclusive of the House Bill 538 requirements; and <br />WHEREAS, the requirements of House Bill 538 must now be satisfied. <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council and Administration to hire <br />the services of John Uavid Jones and Associates to provide said services at a <br />cost not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00). <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLP1STEU, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTIOrJ i: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter <br />into an agreement with the firm of John David Jones and Associates to perform <br />the services necessary to comply with House Bill 538 at a cost not to exceed <br />Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00). <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, <br />and welfare, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members elected to Cauncil, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />FLORENCE E.
