CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION N0. 82- 114 BY: RONALD WILAMOSKY A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR A COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE TO BE USED BY THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, this Council has determined that it would be in the best interest of the City to purchase its own computer so that the City will no longer have to rely on the computer services of the Regional Income Tax Authority, and WHEREAS, it is also the desire of this Council to look into the possibility of direct billing residents of the City of North Olmsted for sewer service charges. NOW, THEREFCRE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby authorized an directed to advertise for bids for a computer and the necessary software, which computer and software will be used by the Finance Department. Said bids shall be solicited on the basis of plans and specifications now on file in the Office of the Director of Finance, and that upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is necessary to program the new computer to collect sewer charges, and for the further reason that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
