CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 82-111 <br />BY. • <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE DIRECTOR <br />OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION <br />OF A MUNICIPAL BUILDING TO BE LOCATED ON CITY <br />PROPERTY ON THE SITE OF THE OLD NORTH OLMSTED BUS <br />GARAGE, WHICH BUILDING WILL HOUSE THE MUNICIPAL BUS <br />LINE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND GENERAL OFFICES, AND <br />REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 82-65, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council authorized the Director of Public Service <br />to advertise for bids for the construction of a municipal building by <br />virtue of Ordinance No. 82-65, and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority of said Ordinance, the Director <br />of Public Service did advertise for bids which bids were unacceptable <br />as was determined by the Board of Control, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director <br />of Public Service to re-advertise for bids thereby soliciting bids after <br />having advertised once in a newspaper of general circulation. <br />NOtiV, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby <br />authorize o advertise for bids on a single bid basis utilizing a <br />general contractor rather than soliciting bids for a general contractor, <br />electrical contractor, plumbing contractor, and a heating and air <br />conditioning contractor. The bids to be solicited shall be in accordance <br />with the specifications which are now on file in the office of the <br />Director of Public Service, and that upon approval by the Board of Control, <br />and the necessary financing ordinances, the Mayor is hereby authorized <br />to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted to the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That the Director of Public Service is authorized to <br />advertise once in a newspaper of general circulation soliciting bids in <br />accordance with the specificationsspecified in Section 1 hereof. <br />SECTION 3: That Ordinance 82-65 be and the same is hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 4: That this Resolution is hereby determined to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public <br />peace, health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason it is <br />immediately necessary to commence construction of the municipal building <br />so that services can be coordinated, and further provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ( ? <br />ATTEST: <br />Florence E.
