CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0, 82 - 24 <br />BY: MR. WILAMOSKY <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL MAP AND <br />FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLSMTED TO PROVIDE FOR <br />THE INSTALLATION OF TWO (2) STOP SIGNS: ONE SIGN <br />TO BE PLACED ON WELLESLEY AVENUE AT THE INTERSECTION <br />OF BROXBOURNE ROAD: AND THE OTHER TO BE PLACED ON <br />BORXBOURNE ROAD AT THE INTERSECTION OF WELLESLEY <br />AVENUE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined that the intersection <br />of Wellesley Avenue and Broxbourne Road constitutes a danger to <br />the traveling public because of the fact that there are no stop <br />signs presently erected there, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to have a ston <br />sign placed on Wellesley Avenue where the same intersects with + <br />Broxbourne Road, namely, on the Southeast corner thereof, thereby <br />controlling traffic traveling in a Northerly direction on <br />Wellesley Avenue, and by further installing a stop sign on the <br />Southwest corner of Broxbourne Road, where the same intersects <br />with Wellesley Avenue, thereby controlling traffic traveling in <br />a Easterly direction on Broxbourne Road, and <br />Whereas, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the <br />maintenance of a Traffic Control Man and File, which said map and <br />file can be amended only by ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINFD BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOrA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is <br />hereby authorized and directed to amend the Traffic Control Map <br />and File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon the <br />installation of two (2) stop signs in a manner as aforesaid. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />and directea to cause said stop signs to be installed in accordance <br />with the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that the <br />traffic signal will provide more positive control for motorists and <br />nedestrians, and further, provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED : <br />ATTEST: <br />AON47!? ??
