CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2019 - 11 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 141.99 OF CHAPTER 141 OF <br />THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE ENTITLED "DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE" IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY AND LIST THE POSITIONS TO BE <br />SUPERVISED BY THE ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT MAINTENANCE <br />WITHIN THE DIVISION OF WASTEWATER. <br />WHEREAS, the organization of the Department of Public Service and the divisions <br />within that Department were amended and re-established by Ordinance 2010-65 (effective <br />August 1, 2010) and again by Ordinance 2011-58 (effective April 20, 2011) and again by <br />Ordinance 2011-108 (effective October 13, 2011); and <br />WHEREAS, the Superintendent of the Division of Wastewater requests, in order to <br />promote the continued and future efficient operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and <br />collections system, that the following position be placed on the organizational chart to report to <br />the Assistant Superintendent Maintenance: Lead Mechanic(s), Maintenance Mechanic(s), <br />Maintenance Helper(s) and Part Time/Seasonal Help; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Mayor, Director of Public Service and the <br />Superintendant of the Division of Wastewater that the positions referenced herein be included in <br />the organization of said Division and Department; and <br />WHEREAS, consistent with the recommendation of the Mayor, Director of Public <br />Service and Superintendant of the Division of Wastewater, it is the desire of this Council to <br />amend the employee positions found within section 141.99 "Composition and Organization of <br />the Department of Public Service" by amending Chapter 141.99(d) of the Administrative Code. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Chapter 141.99 "Composition and Organization of the Department of <br />Public Service" which presently reads in its entirety as set forth in Exhibit A, which is attached <br />to this Ordinance and incorporated by reference as if fully rewritten herein, shall be amended <br />and, as amended, shall read in its entirety as set forth in Exhibit B, which is likewise attached to <br />this Ordinance and likewise incorporated by reference as if fully rewritten herein. <br />SECTION 2: That any ordinance, or part of ordinance, in conflict or inconsistent with <br />this Ordinance, is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed. Conflicting or <br />inconsistent provisions of any Ordinance shall be corrected at re -codification. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law. <br />
