CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - 18 By: Mayor Kennedy A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE A NEW RANGE ROOF ENCLOSURE AND ROOF REPLACEMENT AT THE NORTH OLMSTED POLICE STATION, AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. WHEREAS, the police department range roof and police department roof have exceeded their life expectancy and are in need of replacement; and WHEREAS, the necessary specifications to competitively bid a roof replacement and range enclosure have been prepared (or are in the process of being prepared) and shall be on file; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide a new range roof enclosure and police station roof, as shall be set forth in specifications, and to further authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, if necessary, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide new range roof enclosure and police station roof, as detailed in the specifications to be on file in the Service Department, and that further, the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, if necessary, is hereby authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City with the lowest and best bidder. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
