<br />A RESOLUTION DISPENSING WITH THE RFQ PROCESS AND
<br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO RENEW A CONTRACT WITH MB3
<br />CONSULTING LLC FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING ECONOMIC
<br />DEVELOPMENT CONSULTING SERVICES TO THE CITY.
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the RFQ process the City of North Olmsted on May 22, 2007
<br />entered into a contract for economic consulting services with Silverlode Consulting Corp.,
<br />which contract was renewed annually until March 30, 2010; and
<br />WHEREAS, since May 22, 2007, Greg Myers has served continually as the economic
<br />development consultant assigned by Silverlode Consulting Corp. to address the economic
<br />development needs of the City of North Olmsted; and
<br />WHEREAS, on or about April 1, 2010, Greg Myers commenced employment with
<br />M133 Consulting, LLC; and
<br />WHEREAS, on or about April 22, 2010, the City entered into a one year contract with
<br />M133 Consulting, LLC and pursuant to Resolution 2011-50, renewed the consulting agreement
<br />through April, 2012; and
<br />WHEREAS, on or about April 3, 2012 via Resolution 2012-30, the City entered into
<br />another one year contract with M133 Consulting, LLC through April, 2013; and
<br />WHEREAS, on or about April 6, 2013 via Resolution 2013-38, the City entered into a
<br />two year contract with M133 Consulting, LLC through April, 2015; and
<br />WHEREAS, on or about April 21, 2015 via Resolution 2015-21, the City again
<br />entered into a two year contract with M133 Consulting, LLC through April, 2017; and
<br />WHEREAS, on or about March 21, 2017 via Resolution 2017-24, the City again
<br />entered into a two year contract with M133 Consulting, LLC through April, 2019; and
<br />WHEREAS, it is again the recommendation of the Director of Planning and
<br />Development that based upon the quality of the work performed to date by Greg Myers, his
<br />institutional knowledge of economic development concerns in the City of North Olmsted, and
<br />the current economic climate, the City rather than attempt to procure the necessary consulting
<br />services elsewhere and otherwise through the City's RFQ procedures, instead enter into
<br />another two year contract with M133 Consulting, LLC; and
<br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council, acting upon the
<br />recommendation of the Director of Planning, to dispense with the RFQ process and authorize
<br />the Mayor to enter into a two year contract with M133 Consulting, LLC.
