Box 157 <br />Madison, Ohio 44057 <br />www.MB3Consulting.com <br />I prepared a scope of services for 2019-2020 that I believe addresses the key economic development <br />issues of North Olmsted and will effectively advance the business retention and expansion objectives of <br />the city. Our goal will be to use economic development practices that promote stable, sustainable, and <br />diverse growth in employment, earnings, and taxes in the city of North Olmsted ("city"). MB3 <br />Consulting ("M133") will perform the services outlined below to achieve this goal. <br />Oversee a comprehensive economic development program for the city, which includes, but is not <br />limited to, the following actions: <br />Business retention, expansion and attraction: <br />c Develop a close, trusting relationship with the existing business community and with key <br />stakeholders in new targeted business development areas to identify expansion <br />opportunities, linked target industries and companies, business threats, risks of closure, <br />etc. <br />o Identify and pursue redevelopment opportunities for strategic land parcels, towards the <br />sustainable growth of North Olmsted <br />o Identify and prioritize target project types that mesh with the city's goals, resources, <br />strengths and weaknesses <br />o Support new business start-ups, retail development, and commercial real estate <br />investment <br />• Strengthen the commercial tax base by promoting and encouraging economic development <br />strategies and programs that enhance the city's sense -of -place and quality of life <br />• Identify and direct public/private partnerships that are consistent with city objectives, including <br />project solicitations, new initiatives, grant applications and revitalization efforts <br />• Engage developers, businesses, partner organizations (public and private) and other city <br />departments in negotiating and managing economic development incentive agreements and/or <br />other relevant city resources <br />• Coordinate and collaborate with partner organizations including JobsOhio, TeamNEO, Cuyahoga <br />County Department of Development, the AeroZone Alliance, the Ohio Department of <br />Transportation (ODOT), Chambers of Commerce and other economic development <br />organizations to the benefit of North Olmsted and its projects/programs <br />
