CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019 — 28 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MA YOR TO PURCHASE A NEW <br />2019 FORD F-550 TRUCK FROM VALLEY FORD TRUCK, INCLUDING A <br />PLOW BLADE FROM BEST TRUCK EQUIPMENT, AT A COMBINED <br />COST OF $69,525.95, THROUGH THE STATE PURCHASE PROGRAM, <br />AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL <br />CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service recommends that the City acquire one (1) <br />new replacement vehicle (Ford F-550) for use within the Department of Public Service, from <br />Valley Ford Truck, including a plow blade from Best Truck Equipment, at a combined cost of <br />$69,525.95, as established on the State Purchase Program; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to purchase said <br />vehicle and plow blade through the State Purchase Program and to further authorize the Mayor to <br />execute any contract documents required for such expenditure, including a contract with Valley <br />Ford Truck, and Best Truck Equipment, Inc. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase through the <br />State Purchase Program, which was established by R.C. Section 125.04, and which the City is <br />authorized to participate in pursuant to the City Charter and Resolution No. 87-6, one (1) new <br />2019, Ford F-550 Truck, at a cost of $64,381.95, from Valley Ford Truck, together with a plow <br />blade assembly, at a cost of $5,144.00, from Best ServiceTruck <br />Department.ent,Inc., all The Mayor which is <br />is hereby <br />described in the specifications on file int <br />authorized to execute any contract documents with vendors and, as necessary, to effectuate the <br />State Purchase Program.
