CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - 32 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO <br />PROVIDE NEW PAVEMENT MARKINGS TO VARIOUS STREETS AND <br />LOCATIONS IN THE CITY, AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON <br />FILE IN THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO <br />CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. <br />WHEREAS, various streets at various locations throughout the City require new <br />pavement markings this year; and <br />WHEREAS, the necessary specifications to competitively bid a street pavement markings <br />contract this year have been prepared and are on file in the Engineering Department; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide new pavement markings to various <br />streets at various locations in the City, as set forth in the said specifications, and to further <br />authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, if necessary, to enter into a <br />contract with the lowest and best bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide new pavement markings to various <br />streets at various locations in the City, 'as detailed in the specifications now on file in the <br />Engineering Department, and that further, the Mayor, following approval by the Board of <br />Control, if necessary, is hereby authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City with the <br />lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: MAcC� <br />ATTEST.- <br />First Reading: <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading: 3- N <br />Committee: She- k + Tri„s,,<f 4. y /k <br />
