CI'T'Y OT NORTH OLMST1A) Rh,SOL 1JT1ON NO. 2019 - 49 By: Mayor Kennedy A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT TO MAKE APPLICATION ON BE, HALF OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FORA NATUREGI'ORKS GRANT FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO NORTH OLMSTED COMMUNITY PARK THROUGH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES (ODNR), FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MA YOR TOACCEPT TILE GRANT, IFAWARDED, AND TO EXECUTE ANY CONTRACTS WITH ODNR. WHEREAS, the State of Ohio through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), administers financial assistance for public recreation purposes, though the State of Ohio NatureWorks Grant Program: and WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted, in an effort to enhance recreational facilities available at the North Olmsted Community Park, desires the financial assistance oftheNatureWorks Grant Program, and is eligible to apply for a project up to $150,000.00 and receive up to 75°/, reimbursement: and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Planning and Development to apply for said NatureWorks grant from ODNR: to further authorize the Mayor to accept the grant, if awarded, and to execute a contract iI' required; and to finally authorize the Director of Planning and Development to execute all other non -contract documents necessary to effectuate receipt of the grant. NOW, THEREFORE_, BE 17' RESOL VF_'D BY 771E COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND ST ATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Planning and Development he and she is hereby authorized to apply for a NatureWorks Grant from the State of Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) and that this Council obligates the funds required to complete the proliect and become eligible for reimbursement under the terms of' the NatureWorks Grant Program, as appropriated pursuant to separate Appropriation Ordinance. SECTION 2: That the Mayor be, and he Ilcrebv is. authorized to accept the said grant, il' awarded, on behalf of the City ol'North Olmsted and to execute a contract, if required: and that the Director of Planning and Development be, and she hereby is, authorized to execute all other non- contract documents necessary to effectuate receipt of the grant. SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest date provided for by law.
