CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - 51 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE A NEW <br />2020 PETERBILT TRUCK FROM NORTHERN OHIO PETERBILT, <br />INCLUDING A HOOKLIFT SYSTEM INSTALLED BY CONCORD ROAD <br />EQUIPMENT, AT A COMBINED COST OF $171,899.23, AS PRICED <br />THROUGH STATE APPROVED COOPERATIVE PURCHASING <br />PROGRAMS, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />EXECUTE ALL CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service recommends that the City acquire one (1) <br />new replacement vehicle (2020 Peterbilt Cab & Chassis), equipped with a Concord Hooklift <br />System, for use within the Department of Wastewater Treatment for hauling of biosolids, street <br />sweepings and catch basis debris, at a combined cost of $171,899.23, as priced through State <br />approved purchasing program; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to purchase said <br />Peterbilt Truck with Hooklift hydraulic hoist system, installed, by and through State approved <br />purchasing programs, and to further authorize the Mayor to execute any contract documents <br />required for such expenditure, at a combined cost of $171,899.23, including contracts with <br />Northern Ohio Peterbilt and Concord Road Equipment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase through the <br />State Purchase Program, which was established by R.C. Section 125.04, and which the City is <br />authorized to participate in pursuant to the City Charter and Resolution No. 87-6, one (1) new <br />2020 Peterbilt Truck, at a cost of $114,940.00 after warranties and trade-ins, from Northern Ohio <br />Peterbilt, all of which is described in the contract proposals on file in the Service Department. <br />The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any contract documents with vendors and, as <br />necessary, to effectuate the State Purchase Program. Any contract executed by the Mayor shall <br />be in a form and substance consistent with the provisions of this Resolution and be approved by <br />the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase through the <br />State Cooperative Purchase Program, specifically Sourcewell I Cooperative Purchasing Program <br />(formerly NJPA), which is recognized by R.C. 9.48 as an exception to the competitive bidding <br />limitations in R.C. 307.86, and which the City is authorized to participate in pursuant to the City <br />Charter and Resolution No. 87-6, a Hooklift hydraulic hoist system, at a cost of $56,959.23, from <br />Concord Road Equipment Mfg., as installed on the new 2020 Peterbilt Truck, all of which is <br />described in the contract proposals on file in the Service Department.
