MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />NOVEMBER 6, 2019 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kearney, Limpert, Schumann & Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Law Gareau, <br />Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director of Planning & <br />Development Lieber and Clerk of Council Massarolo <br />Absent: Director of Human Resources Gallo <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The Council meeting minutes of October 15, 2019 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: First Reading: Resolution 2019-96. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• The Veteran's Day Ceremony will be at the North Olmsted Performing Arts <br />Center at 9:50 a.m. on Monday, November 11. It is hosted by the North Olmsted <br />VFW and North Olmsted Schools and there will be a complimentary breakfast <br />starting at 8:45 a.m. in the high school cafeteria. <br />• The varsity swim and hockey season has begun and the Recreation Center is <br />hosting three high school swim and hockey teams. <br />• The City received a request for a kick-off meeting with ODOT for the Brook Park <br />Road resurfacing project. The entire road from Lorain to the eastern city limits is <br />included in the project. Engineering will take place in 2020 with construction in <br />2021. The total cost is estimated to be $1,850,000. The City is responsible for the <br />cost of engineering and 20% of the construction. <br />• The City has received confirmation from NOACA for funding of the <br />rehabilitation of Clague Road for 2024. The project involves resurfacing between <br />Delmere and Marion. The County has also committed to work with NOACA and <br />the City to include the segment from Lorain to Delmere. The City is pleased the <br />request for assistance with Clague Road has been heard and is continuing <br />conversations regarding the scope of the project and looking into funding sources <br />that will benefit the area. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />
