CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - 1 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR TO ENTER INTO <br />SEPARATE CONTRACTS, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, WITH CARLIE JONES, EMIL Y SUSMAN AND JEN DAHLER, <br />FOR FITNESS INSTRUCTOR SERVICES AT THE NORTH OLMSTED <br />RECREATION CENTER FOR A TERM OF ONE (1) YEAR. <br />WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Recreation Center has previously engaged the services of <br />Carlie Jones, Emily Susman and Jen Dahler, to work as Group Exercise Instructors and, as <br />provided by the attached contract, seeks to formalize the agreement for services at the City's <br />Recreation Center; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Mayor that the City enter into a contract <br />between the City and three separate Group Exercise Instructors for a one year term, for the <br />period of January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to dispense with initiating an RFP or RFQ <br />process for said services and to approve and authorize the contracts with Carlie Jones, Emily <br />Susman and Jen Dahler, in substantially the form as attached hereto, to provide for the contract <br />to be effective as of January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020 and to authorize the Mayor to <br />execute said contract. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to execute separate <br />contracts with Carlie Jones, Emily Susman and Jen Dahler, in substantially the form and <br />substance as evidenced in the Program/Service Provider Agreement, attached to this Ordinance <br />as "Exhibit A," with only such changes to said contract to be hereinafter made as are not <br />substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director of Law. The character <br />of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced <br />conclusively by the execution of the agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the agreement <br />by the Director of Law. Said contract shall be for a one year term effective January 1, 2020 <br />through December 31, 2020. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
