CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020 —17 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH ENTERPRISE TO LEASE FIVE (S) VEHICLES FOR <br />BUILDING INSPECTORS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, <br />FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO EXECUTE <br />CONTRACTS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has, over the years, and continues to redeploy <br />police cruisers, by and through its Fleet Department, for use by Building Inspectors; and <br />WHEREAS, given the number of vehicles and the availability of police cruisers, in order <br />to efficiently maintain reliable vehicles for use by Building Inspectors and other employees, the <br />Director of Human Resources has solicited proposals for leased vehicles; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an <br />Agreement with Enterprise for five (5) leased vehicles, and to further authorize the Mayor to <br />enter into same upon Board of Control approval. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into an Agreement <br />with Enterprise for five (5) leased vehicles, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit A, with such <br />amendments as may be negotiated by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That upon the review and recommendation of the Board of Control <br />whereupon, after approval, the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and <br />execute the same with Enterprise, subject to contract form as approved by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately to obtain said <br />vehicles and achieve cost efficiency, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />A TTEST: <br />��447rf __J <br />CHA RAU MASS ROL0 H <br />Clerk of Council <br />First Reading: I - ZI - Ze, <br />Second Reading: Z-Y--Zo <br />Third Reading: Z- lg-w <br />Committee: <br />NICOLE DAIL Y JO <br />President of'Council <br />
