AGREEMENT COVERING THE USE OF COUNTY/TOWNSHIP/CITYNILLAGE STREETS <br />FOR DETOUR PURPOSES <br />WHEREAS, the State of Ohio contemplates the improvement of LOR-480-0.97 (Ohio Turnpike) to 2.17 <br />(Cuyahoga County Line), PID 79759, by repairing and resurfacing mainline Interstate 480 that also <br />includes ramp repairs and resurfacing at State Route 10 (Lorain Road); and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Transportation has determined that it is necessary to detour traffic onto City <br />Roads (Lorain Road and Stearns Road) of Lorain County and Cuyahoga County of Ohio during <br />construction of this improvement; and <br />WHEREAS, the designated detour route includes roads or streets not under the direct jurisdiction of the <br />Director of Transportation, as described below; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Transportation wishes to obtain concurrence of affected authorities prior to <br />establishment of said local maintenance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, during the 2 separate 10 day periods that the ramps of Interstate 480 at State Route <br />10 (Lorain Road) are closed to through traffic, the Director of Transportation agrees to maintain this designated <br />detour route in passable condition and return the City Streets to the City in as good of a condition as they were <br />prior to its use. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City agrees to continue their normal maintenance (i.e. mowing, snow plowing, etc.) <br />of this said designated detour route during the time required to complete the proposed improvement, at no cost <br />to the State of Ohio. <br />The designated detour route will be the following: <br />SR 10 Exit Ramp: I-480 eastbound to Stearns Road Interchange, north on Stearns Road to I-480 <br />westbound to SR 10 (Lorain Road) <br />SR 10 Entrance Ramp: North on SR 10 (Lorain Rd) to Stearns Road southbound to I-480 eastbound. <br />Signed: <br />District Three Deputy Director <br />The City Council have reviewed the above agreement for use of their local roads during the 2 separate 10 day <br />detours and concurs in the use as proposed. <br />Signed: Phone: <br />Date: <br />Signed: Phone: <br />Date: <br />Signed: Phone: <br />Date: <br />cc: Project <br />
